During my time at Temple University, I have been privileged to conduct and share my own primary research at both the national and university level. Below is a list of conferences I have presented at, as well as links to my research.
DePauw National Undergraduate Honors Conference for Communication Arts and Sciences
My time at the DePauw Undergraduate Honors Conference was unique because it was the first conference I attended. I presented my research to a group of 10 other students and one mentor, and heard from other students about their research as well. We all provided feedback to one another and worked together to improve our writing.
Temple University Symposium for Undergraduate Research and Creativity
At Temple’s undergraduate symposium, I presented my research on a panel with four other students to an audience of peers, faculty, and parents. This was an opportunity to share research with peers outside of my class, but also to show my family members the product of my studies in college. I had the opportunity to network within the university, and to begin sharing my research on a larger platform.
NCA 105th Annual Convention: Communication for Survival
The National Communication Association’s convention was a particularly special experience for me because my paper was accepted into a division that is usually reserved for graduate students and professors. It was exciting to not only present my work, but to do so in poster form because I was able to save the poster as a reminder of that experience. During my time at NCA, I was able to network with graduate students and faculty members from across the country, and made some excellent connections that have proved extremely helpful as I begin my grad school applications.
