I usually try to be an active member in my community by volunteering at various events held in the area. It’s a great way to meet new people and have fun on a day off, instead of staying home and doing nothing. Currently at Fox, I am an active member of the Fox Student Philanthropic Society (FSPS). At FSPS, we hold fundraisers to raise money for students at Fox for emergencies. For example, if someone’s backpack gets stolen, along with their laptop and all their books, FSPS will help that student buy a new laptop and books. By joining this club, I have met so many new people, along with improving my networking skills. I think FSPS is an amazing organization in that it gives back to the community. Not only are we taking many things away from school, such as learning and getting our degrees, but we’re also giving back.
