BS in Statistical Science and Data Analytics, Minor in Finance, Fox School of Business, Temple University
Thanks for looking at my eportfolio! I am originally from Royersford, PA and attended Spring-Ford High School. I am currently searching for a statistical internship for this coming summer. I chose Statistical Science and Data Analytics because most, if not all, industries are finding value in incorporating statistical analysis into their regular business functions. Statistics can be applied in a variety of ways and the demand for a statistics major has been increasing over the past few years. I have a Finance minor because learning how the different financial markets work and how businesses run is very interesting to me. I hope to pair this with statistics in the future.
Some classes that I have taken at Temple so far include Regression and Predictive Analytics, Financial Modeling, and Intro to Problem Solving in Python. My favorite out of these classes so far has been Regression and Predictive Analytics because I was able to apply the concepts that I have been learning in my statistics classes and perform advanced analysis on real-world data sets. Additionally, my Intro to Problem Solving in Python class gave me exposure to my first programming language and showed me how important it is to have strong technical skills.
