BBA in Finance, Minor in Statistical Science, Fox School of Business, Temple University
Thanks for looking at my eportfolio! I am originally from Middletown Delaware, and I chose Finance as a major because I am interested in how the markets work. I also have an interest in MIS and the rapid changes the economy will see due to the utilization of information systems.
My mother worked for JP Morgan Chase and throughout my childhood I often listened to her talk about work over dinner every evening. I believe this laid the foundation for my current and future aspirations. While in high school I developed a strong interest in my business related classes. I took three semesters of banking, two semesters of accounting, and also participated in a group fund competition representing my high school with other schools.
After graduating from high school in 2013, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. I wanted to serve my country and develop leadership skills to use in my professional life. I contracted my military occupational specialty as a Motor Transportation Operator. My first duty station was 2nd Motor Transportation Support Battalion in Camp Lejeune, NC. Over the course of serving for four years, I was able to travel overseas on multiple occasions and develop real life skills in leadership and initiative. Upon my honorable discharge in 2018 my unit awarded me a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. This was a very humbling moment and achievement for me. I take a lot of pride in my service to the Marine Corps and hope to one day lead a team again.
While at Temple University I hope to learn as much as possible and become fluent in my future practices and respected within the Fox School of Business.
